Barangay Silo-o is situated in between the deep canyons, tucked alongside rivers — entering its village expects a grueling ride on their rocky bumpy roads that usually takes 1 to 2 hours travel time from Malitbog town proper.
Upon reaching the village and its hills, Buklod ridge is not yet open publicly; but some distinct permissions from different sectors may allow visitors to experience its grandeur such as from Mayor’s office and the Barangay captain's approval, and lastly, Datu’s permission to enter their premises.
Trekking from the village to Buklod hills will only take 2-3 hours on an open trail. The hues of its hills may attract your eyes but the terrain’s path needs an arduous trek, ascending the ravine-like trail may take hours before arriving atop.
