Katihan Eco Park of Kibalabag, Malaybalay, Bukidnon

An ideal spot that will give you time to take a rest from your daily routine and have peace of mind while seeing the serenity of nature. Facing its picturesque valley and cool surroundings in unpredictable weather. 










How to get there? Here's my simple travel guide.

Katihan eco-park is situated in a scenic valley of Barangay Kibalabag, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon; 21 kilometers distance from the city proper.


For commuters: 

1. From the Malaybalay bus terminal ride a Motorela (Tricycle) off to "the gardens", 10 pesos regular fare.

2. From the gardens, hire a habal-habal to take you to Katihan eco-park. 300 pesos fixed fare.


For private cars: important note, low clearance cars are not recommended due to bumpy roads and a river crossing.

1. Take the Barangay Can-Ayan road.

2. Turn left to Barangay Kibalabag with signage to Katihan. Approximately 12km of rough roads.


Note:

* 0.5-meter river crossing. 

* expect a grueling ride, 

* unexpected weather conditions.
